The galaxy's faster than light transit network has been taken over. Rogue AI constructs have overrun the hyperlanes, the neon hex tunnels of controlled gravity where velocity is the everything.
You are a Way Rider, a sponsored operative riding a hoverboard through these hostile tunnels, clearing routes for civilization to flow again. Every run is broadcast. Every death is monetized. Every upgrade makes you a legend.

HEAD-TILT MOVEMENT
A unique VR all axis movement headset lean to move style that quickly becomes intuitive and soon youll be flowing through the hyperlanes like a natural.
Lean your body left and right to shift through the lanes horizontally.
Lean forward and back to tilt your board up or down to move through vertically.
Crouch to increase throttle to play with more risk or slow it down to pick your targets.
Or change the input types to what feels natural to you with lean, tilt, height, controller gesture surfing, thumbstick or a blend of multiple options.
This isnt driving its spacetime surfing. The hexfields control the density of the black hole portals to keep everything moving forward and anything entering your personal density field can be handled.
Physical reactive movement that feels like your in control without the nausea.

A hex field shield for blocking fire from any angle
A board launched rocket for doing the big damage or dealing with swarms all at once
A bullet time ability for reacting to those pulse racing moments
A dash to get out of tight spots or change lanes quickly

If you want to focus on increasing your critical hit chance, cooldown rates, mag size, adding chain lightning or even unlocking new opportunities in the lanes you can play your way.

PROCEDURAL NEON ENVIRONMENTS
Race through different environments launching between lanes and planets exploring new environments from desolated planets to giant sky mega cities.
With a variety of procedural planets and biomes every run has something new to see.
SPEED OR SURVIVE
Destroy robots fast and push your throttle to the max to play dangerously leading to more risk but more opportunities as well.
Increasing heat combo increases your speed allowing the most skilled way riders to race through the hyperlanes.

HEXFIELD TECHNOLOGY: SCIENCE THAT MAKES SENSE
The Hyperways exist because of Hexfields, programmable hardlight structures that manipulate spacetime density.
This the technology used across the galaxy from low density holograms to the controllable high density walls that contain the gravity of the black holes harnessed for the hyperlanes.
Your personal density fields is what bends the world around you allowing the highspeeds of the hyperlanes and controlled relative movement of vehicles and bots around you or the control of spacetime through upgradeable abilities.

SOLO DEVELOPER
About the Developer:
I'm a solo developer from Ireland trying to create an experience that makes use of the uniqueness of VR. It has been a long tough road of creating, learning and growing all of the skills needed for solo game dev to something im ready to share.
Hyperlane Highway started as an experiment in head-tilt locomotion and testing a custom modular stat system that evolved into a full roguelike when I realized how well the movement paired with build variety.
