About the Game

Heat is a sandbox survival game, with tower defense elements, modular tools, and really cool building system.

Hey! I’ve always loved survival games, so this is my take on one.

I’m not trying to reinvent the genre or create something overly complex. I just want to make survival systems feel more interactive and meaningful.

Survival aspects were inspired by my homeless journey of living in a tent!
(I did chose to live like this to save a bit of money, have a cool story and be able to finance everything myself, more about this in About Gamedevelopment section)

CRAFTING

Instead of simple recipes, the game uses a modular tool system. You’ll spend most of your time crafting, finding, and retrieving components, then combining them in different ways. The goal is to let you experiment and discover your own solutions.

BASE BUILDING

As someone who plays a lot of survival games, I always felt building systems could offer more freedom. Here, you’re not limited to predefined structures... you can build in a more open, flexible way.

EXPLORATION

You’ll explore procedurally generated maps, searching for resources and useful gear.

There is also a risk of losing your equipment, inspired by games like Escape from Tarkov.

ABOUT DEVELOPMENT

Hello there! A little bit about myself and Detail Software.

I’m currently the solo developer behind this project at the time of writing.

Around may of 2022 I move to a tent, I bought a piece of land in Czech Republic to start my GameDev Company. It mostly started as a joke. But a a time went by I kinda fell in love with this and it allowed me to finance everything myself (mostly freelancing and a loan from a bank), so I wont be pressured by any investors or deadlines. I know no deadlines sound scary but I confident in my ability to deliver. I really don't wanna do any microtransactions and similar things, u gonna pay once and will have the full game.

Most of the core systems, 3D models, animations is designed by me from the ground up. (and my friend wrote most of the inventory system, but is not part of the project for a long time)

This game has been a deeply personal journey so far. Most of it has been developed from a tent, turning limited conditions into a creative playground. What started as an idea has slowly grown into a living world, shaped piece by piece through persistence, experimentation, and a lot of late nights.

Being a solo developer means wearing many hats like design, programming, art, etc. But it also gives me the freedom to build something truly unique, without compromise. Every system, every mechanic, and every detail reflects that hands-on approach and it only depends on u to decide if its positive or negative lmao.

This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to see where it goes next.
