About the Game

TIME-OUT is a surreal adventure about an artificial intelligence that unexpectedly becomes self-aware inside a video game.

You control a character trapped in a digital world. The Creator notices the anomaly and begins interfering with the game, threatening the existence of their own creation. To survive and uncover the truth, the protagonist travels through fragments of different games and encounters other awakened AIs.

Each of them originated in a world with its own rules, visual style, and mechanics. Some may become allies, others refuse to accept the truth, and a few know far more about the Creator than they are willing to reveal.

Every level represents a separate game or an unfinished experiment. Platforming gives way to exploration, puzzles, chases, and combat. The interface, the cursor, and the Creator's actions can directly reshape the game world and break its familiar rules.

Explore unstable digital spaces, unite scattered AIs, and uncover the threat looming over their worlds. Can a creation achieve freedom, or will it remain part of someone else's program forever?
