About the Game

The Halls of Taurthos is a hand-crafted, top-down fantasy RPG set in the fractured province of Wyrelande.  In this epic, open world, you play the part of a young farmer who awakes one day to the relevation that they have a blood claim to the long buried underground realm of the legendary, long dead King Taurthos Arthelion - the Halls of Taurthos themselves.  How you reclaim the Kingdom, how you grow strong enough, wealthy enough, skilled enough to even begin to challenge the many power foes that will stand in your way, is entirely in YOUR hands.

Features:

• Explore a Fully Open World: Explore the varied and storied regions of Wyrelande - the beautiful rolling fields, farms and villages of The Longlands - so peaceful for so long, and now threatened with war and strife.  The mystery and heat of the magic-soaked Redlands, full of exotic sights and strange powers.  Visit the home of the Fey - The Emerald Vale, or venture into the unknown horror of The Blight Maw, a gaping entrance to an underground of delves.  These are just some of the many and varied places to explore, conquer or trade with.

• Adventure Your Way: Tailor your adventures to suit your mood.  Will you venture into an infamous delve, fraught with danger and horrow - to claim the treasures and powerful items within, or will you spend time exploring, foraging for crafting or potion-making materials? Maybe spend a few hours hauling goods along the trade routes to make the money you need to hire your first soldier?

• Classic Roleplaying Progression:  Build and shape your character in the manner of classic table-top adventuring.  Grow your character through meaningful stat development - stats that influence your combat effectiveness, your skill at trading or spelllcasting. Carefully weigh up the consequences of your skill choices, your loadout, your equipment, armour and weapons.  

• Vibrant, Meaningful Combat: Combat in Halls of Taurthos is both tactical and skilful.  Preparation of weapons, armour and magic is key.   Combat rewards clever thinking and clever planning.  Strong visual feedback lets you know what's happening at-a-glance, and offers insight into how you might change tactics as battle unfolds.

• Build An Army: In the later part of the game, you will find yourself in dire need of allies.  Use your hard-earned wealth and influence to find, recruit and train soldiers to fight alongside you.  With this strength, you might finally assault the fabled Halls of Taurthos and reclaim your Kingdom!
