Grimslair

About the Game

How many times would you relive the same day to save someone you love?

In GRIMSLAIR you step into the role of Adam, son of the Grim Reaper, drafted into the family business under a brutal deal: reap enough souls each day and Grim will keep listening to your plea to bring your girlfriend back to life. Miss the quota and the clock snaps back in time—memories intact, deck refreshed, and stakes higher.

At your side is your ghost dog, a loyal partner with their own cards, synergies, and ways to get into (or save you from) trouble.

Combat plays out in a tactical, turn-based battle mode built around a chain belt of cards. When you play each card matters: link attacks, blocks, and dog abilities into chains that power up, overlap, or break depending on their neighbors.

Features

  • Daily soul quotas & time loops
Every day starts with a fresh soul quota and a new chance to get it right. Track down enemies across the map, decide which fights are worth the risk, and feel the tension rise as the clock pushes you toward one last desperate battle before the day snaps back.

  • Chain-based battle system
Battles revolve around a five-slot chain belt where card order and adjacency matter. The cards Grim throws onto the belt can set up an easy round—or a devastating onslaught—if you don’t have the tools to disrupt or manipulate his plan.

  • Soulword-driven deckbuilding
Collect and fuse Soulwords that change how your cards behave: more damage, new targeting patterns, resource gains, status effects, and powerful tradeoffs. Evolve favorite cards across loops and experiment with builds that only work because you’ve bent the deck into something uniquely yours.

  • Adam & his ghost dog
You’re never reaping alone. Your dog helps you overcome traps during exploration and fights beside you with their own cards, roles, and status effects. Protect each other, build decks around dog-focused support or aggression, and feel it when your partner gets stunned, wounded, or pulls off a clutch save.

  • Survival in hostile biomes
Navigate through graveyards, forests, caves, and unique locations that upgrade Adam. Shifting day/night cycles and dynamic weather change visibility, danger, and what you’re willing to risk to overcome Grim’s obstacles.

  • Choices that echo between loops
Comfort or abandon lost souls, hoard or sacrifice rare rewards, appease Grim or push back against him. Notes, encounters, and consequences carry across runs, slowly revealing why you ended up in Grimslair—and what it might cost to finally change the outcome.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME THE NEXT GRIM REAPER? The choice is yours.
