Golgothian

Golgothian

About the Game

Build a party. Stack the deck. Survive the dungeon.

Golgothian is a party-based deckbuilding dungeon crawler for 1-2 players. Assemble a three-hero party, choose class passives, build a shared battle deck, and fight your way through a cursed dungeon full of battles, events, loot, and hard choices.

Play the demo to try the current dungeon-crawling loop while Golgothian continues development.

Playable Demo / Development Status

Golgothian is currently in development and is not yet available for purchase. The playable demo is a preview of the core dungeon-crawling loop: party setup, card-based combat, branching routes, loot, shops, events, rest sites, survivor progression, solo play, and co-op.

The demo is not content-complete and does not represent the final scope of the game. Expect balance changes, UI improvements, new cards, enemies, dungeon content, audio, progression updates, and general polish as development continues.

Every run asks the same brutal question: who gets the card, who carries the gear, which room is worth the risk, and can your party survive one more fight?

Plan the Round, Then Commit

Each round begins with planning. Queue cards for your heroes, read enemy intent, set up attacks, blocks, healing, buffs, and status effects, then submit your choices and watch the round resolve.

Your Warrior, Mage, and Priest all draw from the same evolving deck, so every reward changes how the whole party fights.

Cards are not just attacks and defenses. They can carry class identity, styles, upgrades, and combo potential as your party grows.

Discover Class Combos

The right cards can combine into stronger effects when your heroes act together. Pair a Warrior strike with Mage ice magic to trigger Frozen Shatter, protect the party before a dangerous enemy turn, or build around buffs, healing, and elemental pressure.

Combos are discovered and recorded as you play, turning every dungeon run into both a battle and a growing tactical library.

Shape the Party Before the First Room

Your run starts before combat begins. Choose passives, starting cards, and roles for each hero. Build a defensive front line, a spell-heavy burst party, a sustain-focused team, or a strange hybrid that only works if the deck cooperates.

Unlocks expand your options over time, giving veteran players more ways to tune the opening party.

Choose Your Path Through the Dungeon

Each run is built from branching dungeon routes filled with fights, elite battles, bosses, shops, events, chests, and rest sites. Take the safer route to recover, chase rewards through danger, or gamble on one more room before the next major fight.

Loot, Upgrade, and Carry What Survives

Victories award gold, cards, equipment, and packs. Gear changes individual heroes, while cards reshape the shared deck. Surviving characters can carry equipment and history forward, but death has teeth: fallen heroes and their gear are at risk unless you can recover them.

Spend, Equip, and Adapt

Between battles, shops and events give you chances to tune the run. Buy cards, equip gear, sell dead weight, stock up on packs, or take event rewards that change the shape of your dungeon crawl.

Original Soundtrack

Delve through the dungeon with an original soundtrack built for tense fights, strange rooms, and the slow pressure of a run going wrong.

Playable Solo or Co-op

Golgothian is fully playable solo and also supports Steam and LAN co-op. In co-op, players split control of the party, plan turns together, and manage rewards as the dungeon gets worse in all the interesting ways.
