About the Game

Grief is a burden. For Prudence, it's a blade.

The kingdom of Embervale is dying.

Months ago, a figure known only as The Mage rose from the ruins of the old capital, wielding power that shattered armies and silenced faith. His coming brought more than war. The dead began to walk and creatures of nightmare tore through villages. The world itself started to twist.

The nobles locked themselves behind stone walls, leaving the people to fend for themselves. Fields turned to ash, towns fell silent, and hope became a memory.

In the midst of the chaos, Prudence wanders the broken land. Her brother Brennan fell in the first battles against The Mage, yet his voice still echoes through the sword she carries. Bound by grief and guilt, she fights to keep his memory alive and to find a reason to keep going.

Along the way, Prudence finds others walking the same broken path. Strangers at first, each bearing their own wounds and reasons to fight. Together they push through the wreckage of Embervale, drawn by the same quiet hope that something can still be saved.

A warrior forged in loss. Her brother’s death drives her forward, each battle a desperate attempt to carve meaning from the ruin he left behind.

Seraphine

She lost her daughter to the war and turned to the forbidden for comfort. The knowledge she gained promised life after death, but it led her to the one who started it all.

Tristan

A Cleric who sees no cracks in his faith. He trusts in the Light completely, unaware of how deep its shadow runs.

Elda

Age has dulled her blade but not her will. She cast aside the sword she could no longer lift and now fights unarmed, striking harder than time ever did.

Cameron

A fallen noble who hides from his own name. He walks the world unclaimed, wearing the mask of a thief to forget the crown that once awaited him.

Brennan

Silent and watchful, he follows those who confront the final darkness, guided by a quiet grudge against the one who has wrought so much suffering.
