The Game

Gate is a 2D Action-RPG Dungeon Crawling game in which you explore the endless dungeons created by mysterious ancient Structures. Defeat as many monsters as you can and get as much loot as you can carry, forge strong stats onto your equipment or utilize magic runes to improve it further, create your own playstyle with the many customization options and make your character your own in this solo developed Pixel crafted game.

Itemization

Gate features a variety of weapons and equipment available to customize your character, items are very important in Gate and are just one of the main systems available to build a powerful Gate Hunter. Items in Gate feature:

• 16 different weapon types to equip.

• Over 200 Singular items and a collection system to track them.

• Over 300 different item base types with unique art.

• Hundreds of item modifiers and stats.

• Item Filters available in game to customize what you see drop.

• Multiple crafting systems.

• Sell, Buy and Gamble items at NPCs.

• Auto organizing stash to store as much loot as you want and share with your other characters.

Passive Tree

Gate features a large and varied passive tree which allows players to focus on specific playstyles and archetypes or experiment with combinations along their character's journey. From simple powerful bonuses to more build defining options, this is just another tool at your disposal to make your own unique character.

Classes

Gate has 12 different playable classes to pick from, available after reaching certain thresholds. These classes are designed to satisfy niches of different ARPG fans, from players wanting to summon hordes of Minions to do the work for them, players who prefer a more close combat approach or those who enjoy filling the screen with arrows, there is a bit of everything.
But of course, you're welcome to mix and match skills, passives, classes and items to create a unique experience instead!

Gates

The gates come in different sizes and themes and you never know what could be lurking within. The game features randomly generated dungeons sprinkled with custom handmade rooms which increase its replayability.
Monsters become tougher and more dangerous, more threats and weird encounters start to appear at higher Gate levels and more endgame difficulty Gates unlock after a certain level, progression research trees allow players to increase risk and rewards inside each Gate and alongside Boss and unique areas and gamemodes, the Gate system is always being improved and expanded.

Skills

Gate offers a flexible, freeform system which allows you to equip up to 10 different skills onto your character at any given moment. Each skill can be further improved with Gate's enhancement system, which allows you to modify and empower your skills in different ways. Each skill can be independently leveled and improved, allowing you to transfer them between characters as well, since they are items as well!
