G.D.F. PHALANX: Missile Defense Protocol
About the Game
In G.D.F. PHALANX: Missile Defense Protocol, you command an island base under attack from across the water. Inspired by classic missile-defense games and the strategic tension of building a base under fire. You choose where to build and which enemy targets to attack. In elimination matches, destroying an opponent's last base takes them out of the fight. Lose your own, and you're out too.
Room to build
Your island has limited space. Supply buildings bring in money, while power plants keep your launchers fueled. Factories help you build faster. Another launcher is useful only if you can keep it supplied. Leave some ground clear for replacement defenses.
Protect the approaches
Position anti-missile launchers to cover incoming attacks. Radar improves their chances of an interception and reveals missile paths, but it won't extend their range. Overlapping defenses help protect the buildings behind them. Gun pods handle hostile mechs that reach your island.
Strike back
Mark targets and your weapons fire when they're ready. Send missiles after enemy launchers or bases. Mechs fly to the target island, fight on the ground, and return home if they survive the raid.
ICBM can hit groups of buildings and get past anti-missile defenses. They cannot damage bases, so you'll still need other weapons to finish an opponent.
Set up a match
Start with a quick match against an AI commander or try Endless Defense as missile attacks grow more frequent and mech waves get larger. In custom matches, you can set up the opposing teams and their starting resources. You can also change how much land is available to build on. Save a setup to play it again or share it with a friend.
Custom Missions and Campaign
There is a 20-mission campaign to challenge commanders in new and interesting ways.
