First Moon of Mercury
About the Game
In this solarpunk mystery, you are PIM, a space station control system programmed with a hidden agenda by your creator, Engineer Angela Sen: protect the mission and crew from sabotage. All the while, you must keep your illegal sentience secret and trust the right crew members, or you will be shut down.
The World
It is 2066: thirty-six years after a record-smashing G6 geomagnetic storm disrupted the world’s power supply and caused social, economic and political chaos.
After a decades-long period of rebuilding, the newly-formed World Space-Weather Science Consortium has designed and launched a space station to both deflect solar flares from Earth and harness clean energy.
Named the First Moon of Mercury, this station has the hopes of the world population behind it, or so it is believed. Political factions have risen from the rubble, and they each have their own plans for the future of humanity.
The Puzzles
Inspired by 3D puzzle boxes, you must configure and link incoming modules to build the growing station. While building and solving station modules, unknown saboteurs will attempt to disrupt operations in underhanded ways.
To counteract these disruptions, a human crew member must authorize any changes you make to objectives. Who you trust with these changes will determine the success of the mission and your continued existence.
Observe and protect the crew, identify both solar and human threats, and manipulate the station's intricate systems to continue the mission.
