About the Game

Final Night Firefight

Build a house. Arm it with modular fireworks. Optimize the math. Watch the chaos unfold.

Final Night Firefight is a 2D room-based roguelike auto-battler about designing, upgrading, and optimizing your own combat machine before putting it to the test against rival player builds.

You don't control the fight. You control the system behind it.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Build Your Combat Machine

Your house is a collection of rooms with limited space. Every item has a place, a purpose, and a role in your build.

  • Place weapons, defenses, and utility items throughout your house.

  • Manage limited room space and item footprints.

  • Upgrade your rooms to unlock additional building space.

  • Rotate and position larger items to make your layout work.

  • Build around interactions between items rather than simply collecting stronger equipment.

Every placement is part of the build.

๐Ÿงฎ Optimize the System

Combat is driven by interacting mechanics rather than player-controlled abilities.

Damage. Burn. Acid. Shatter. Accuracy. Crits. Multicast. Misfires. Cooldowns.

Then build around the systems that connect them:

  • Hype & Panic โ€” one shared momentum bar. Push toward Hype for faster combat and more Multicast, or fall toward Panic where your house becomes increasingly prone to Misfires.

  • Damp โ€” reduce your outgoing damage while absorbing incoming Burn and Acid, creating a tradeoff between power and protection.

  • Shatter โ€” build vulnerability that turns future direct hits into heavier damage.

  • Barricades โ€” create another layer of defense while allowing effects to accumulate before the barricade falls.

  • Accuracy & Crits โ€” balance reliability against the potential payoff of stronger hits.

  • Modifiers โ€” tune the underlying numbers your weapons operate on.

The interesting part isn't optimizing one stat.

It's understanding how the systems interact.

โš™๏ธ Upgrade Your Arsenal

Your build doesn't stay static.

Between battles, improve the weapons you've already committed toโ€”or change direction entirely.

  • Buy new weapons and utility items from the shop.

  • Combine duplicate weapons or use Upgrade Kits to improve existing equipment.

  • Push weapons through multiple upgrade levels as your run progresses.

  • Unlock powerful late-stage upgrades for fully developed items.

  • Permanently specialize certain unique items through their own upgrade paths.

  • Sell, reroll, reposition, and rebuild when your current strategy stops working.

A good item can become part of the engine.

๐ŸŽฏ Build. Test. Rebuild.

Once combat begins, your weapons fire automatically.

You don't manually cast abilities.

You don't click targets.

You watch your build execute.

A change to your layout can alter the interactions between your weapons.

An upgrade can change how a weapon contributes to the entire system.

A shift toward Hype can accelerate your build and increase Multicast.

A fall toward Panic can make that same system increasingly unstable.

The battle isn't where you make the decision.

The battle is where you find out what your decisions actually built.

๐Ÿ‘ป Fight Other Players' Builds

Your opponents aren't simply predefined enemy factions.

You fight ghost snapshots of other players' houses.

Their layouts, upgrades, room progression, stats, and build decisions become the opponent you have to overcome.

Matchmaking looks for builds around your progression, wins, and rating, creating battles against houses built by other players rather than traditional AI armies.

๐Ÿ† Climb Ranked Runs

Take your house into Ranked Runs, fight through the campaign, and build your rating as you go.

Every run gives you another opportunity to:

  • Improve your house.

  • Refine your build.

  • Push deeper into the run.

  • Earn wins.

  • Test different strategies.

  • Increase your rating.

Or play Unranked Runs when you want to experiment without affecting your rating.

Theorycraft. Build. Test. Climb.

๐ŸŽ† Watch the Machine Work

Once everything is in place, sit back and watch the fireworks.

Every weapon fires automatically.

Every upgrade changes the equation.

Every interaction can matter.

And when the house finally goes to war, the build you created is the player.

Build something powerful.

Build something ridiculous.

Then find out how far the math can take it.
