Fantastical Maze

Fantastical Maze

About the Game

[Genre & play style]

Third-person maze exploration with light puzzle mechanics based on colored keys and doors. There is no combat or character progression through leveling; you advance by finding new keys and opening doors that were previously locked, which expands the areas you can reach.

[Story]

You wake beside a stone sarcophagus. With no idea why you are here, you set out in search of an exit. Before you lies a world that feels neither wholly real nor dreamlike: a desert, three pyramids, and a maze built from walkways alone.

[Objective]

Navigate the maze and reach the goal.

[Core mechanics]

- The maze is made of walkway-style paths; progress by reading routes carefully.

- Five key colors (blue, red, green, yellow, white) match doors of the same color. You cannot open a door without its key.

- Keys are placed around the stage; beams of light stretch into the sky, giving you a rough idea of where to look from a distance.

- There is no combat; exploration and route planning are the focus.

[Challenge]

Besides choosing paths through the maze, you will backtrack and try alternate routes after finding the keys you need.

[Content & modes]

Single-player only.

[Audio]

Background music and sound effects use licensed audio assets.

The score is not original composition; tracks were selected and placed to support the exploration experience.

[Estimated playtime]

First playthrough: approximately 1–3 hours.

[What sets this game apart]

A surreal desert-and-pyramid setting, straightforward rules with colored keys and doors, and light beams that help you locate keys—clear systems so you can focus on the maze and exploration.
