Ex Decreto
About the Game
In this video game, based on Gwenaëlle Deborde's doctoral research, you are immersed in Roman antiquity while accessing the fruits of her labor. As you investigate as a judge, you gain access to real ancient sources that still allow us to write history today.
This simple and fun game is aimed at both novices and experts, so don't hesitate to give it a try!
The educational dimension
Ex Decreto has been designed in chapters for use in the classroom with a history teacher. Each chapter corresponds to a case to be judged.
You can start a game and play through all the cases, or choose the chapter that interests you.
You can consult your advisors to find out more!
Then make your decision.
Will you be a good Roman governor, or will you provoke a revolt in your province?
