About the Game

About This Game

Eternal Spectre is a non-linear action RPG where your choices shape missions, characters, and outcomes. Dialogue and actions both matter, and consequences can show up immediately or much later.

You play as Jared Miles, bound to a mysterious entity, navigating a world damaged by the Time Fracture. The story is built to branch repeatedly, with player decisions changing how events unfold, who survives, who allies with you, and what paths remain available.

Gameplay

  • Action-based combat focused on shooting, positioning, and timing

  • Use the Gauntlet as a standalone weapon or enhance it using Arcane Cells

  • Arcane Cells modify Gauntlet behaviour and can be used in single-shot or charged-shot form

  • Shield gameplay that supports both damage absorption and well-timed parries

  • Booster-based dash for dodging, repositioning, and combat mobility

  • Use Skills acquired through exploration and mission rewards to expand your combat options

  • Equip and combine Fragments to shape your build, stats, and playstyle direction

Game Features

Character Customization
Customize the character’s appearance to reflect your identity in the world.

Gauntlet and Gear Progression
Gauntlets and equipped gear level up over time. Progression is tied to usage and upgrades rather than weapon swapping.

Player Builds
There are no fixed classes. Builds are defined by Gauntlet upgrades, Arcane Cell selection, character stats, equipped gear levels, and the Fragments system.

Stats and Fragments System
Stats directly influence combat effectiveness and survivability. Fragments provide additional modifiers and playstyle-defining effects that further shape the player’s build.

Skill System
Skills are not unlocked automatically. Players discover and obtain skills through exploration, mission rewards, and progression choices.

Non-Linear Narrative
The story branches based on dialogue choices and player actions. Decisions affect characters, future missions, and narrative outcomes.

Reactive NPCs
NPCs respond to the player’s behaviour, decisions, and reputation. Information spreads, and the world remembers what you do.
