A post-apocalyptic action RPG with bullet-hell elements crafted with AI-driven art and systems to tell a story of survival; a type of modern arcade feel.
Content Length: Approximately 1 hour of single player storyline that feels like a dungeon progression. Re-playable at different difficulties.
Future content: speed run leaderboards and tower defense!
AI-assisted art, writing, and design; this project is both experimental and deeply personal. As a military combat veteran, I wanted create something that reflects resilience, loss, and the will to keep moving forward despite what is happening. This game is handcrafted with the help of LLM's and diffusion models to tell a unique story.
No game engine. Written primarily in Python with performance-critical systems optimized using Cython. Rendering and game logic leverage Pygame(-ce) and ModernGL ... yes, you can!
