Drop Mahjong tiles

Drop Mahjong tiles

About the Game

A fusion of falling-block puzzles and mahjong!

"Drop Mahjong tiles" is a mahjong puzzle game with falling-block gameplay.

Real mahjong scores become your score as-is. Mahjong fans will feel right at home, and even if you don't know the rules or yaku, you can enjoy it intuitively.

How to Play

  • Move the falling tile left and right, and drop it wherever you like

  • Tiles that bump into each other stick together, forming pairs, partial sets (taatsu), and melds

  • Complete your melds and a pair to win the hand. Yaku and scores are calculated just like in real mahjong

  • You can also "call" a tile by swapping with the tiles lined up on the right side of the screen

  • As the rounds go on, face-down tiles that can't be cleared start to fall too

  • If the screen fills up with tiles, it's game over. Between rounds, you can spend points to clear tiles from the board

The falling tiles are random, and just like in mahjong, there are no more than four of each tile.

Solo modes have no time limit, so you can think things through and play at your own pace.

Item Mode

At the start of a game and every 4 rounds, pick 1 item from 3 candidates. There are 50 items in total, and you can hold up to 10. With the right combination, you can rack up outrageous scores.

  • Phoenix: Once, when the game would end, every tile on the board is cleared and you keep playing

  • Red Dragon Beam: Dropping a Red Dragon clears the tiles in its column before it lands

  • Debt: Get 100,000 points right away, then pay back 5,000 each time you clear a round

  • At the Edge: Winning while 2 or more tiles are in the game-over zone gives 5x points

You can check every item you've encountered in the "Collection".

VS Mode

  • Play against the CPU, play 2-player (two controllers required), or watch CPU vs CPU

  • Chip away at each other's points. Bring your opponent down to 0 to win

  • Set match rules such as the number of wins needed and the chombo penalty

Play Your Way

  • Rule Setup: Turn Pair to sequence, Kanchan (gap) wait, Kanchan to open wait, and Seven pairs ON/OFF

  • Tile designs: 7 designs including Drop Mahjong, Black, and Pixel art. You can also use your own tile images
