Dragon Kisser

Dragon Kisser

About the Game

Dragon Kisser is a single-boss arcade experience designed for short, replayable sessions where you'll need both fast reflexes and charm. Play as Domingo, an ordinary village rooster with extraordinary confidence. Help him dodge, woo, and minigame your way to the most legendary victory kiss in history.

You might think convincing a ravenous beast to stop their daily village pillage might be crazy, but it's actually a surprisingly simple three-step process:

Step 1: Dodge!

Swiftly jump and twirl out of the way of the dragon’s attacks to show her what you got. If you do a well enough job she might just give you a second of her time to hear you out.

Step 2: Romance your way to victory!

Once you've impressed the dragon enough, the civilians will start to believe in Domingo and help him to save their town by throwing him various items to aid in winning over the dragon's heart. Once you catch these items, present them to the dragon to turn the stage over to you and have a moment of the dragon’s undivided attention.

Playing these minigames is how you can earn romance points! But be careful, if you fumble in these key moments, you might just be in more trouble than you were before…

Step 3: Kiss that dragon!

Now that you've shown the dragon your bodacious bravery and suave skills, she presents you with your final challenge: The Gauntlet. A challenge in which you show off all of the charismatic skills you've accomplished in the presentation games all at once in a barrage of minigames. If you pass the gauntlet, then you, out of anyone, rightfully earned the right to kiss that dragon. Congratulations!

A BYU Center for Animation Capstone Project

This project was planned, developed, and tested over the course of a little less than a year, completely through student work, for the purpose of learning how to make games, collaborate as a team, and finish something enough for publication. Because of that, support and continual work on this game is limited to individual team members and their schedules as they move towards graduation. Bugs and issues with the game are welcome to be reported on, but please be aware that many of us are moving on to jobs or graduate school, meaning updates post-release are very unlikely. Regardless, we appreciate your time and feedback.
