DON'T DROP IT
About the Game
TEST YOUR FRIENDSHIP
DON'T DROP IT is a brutally difficult 1-2 player game about one simple rule:
THE DISC MUST NEVER TOUCH THE GROUND.
One player throws.
The other player runs, jumps, dives and desperately tries to catch it.
Then you swap roles and do it again.
Sounds easy.
It isn't.
One bad throw, one mistimed dive, or one tiny catch you swear should have counted can destroy an entire run.
9 HOLES. ONE RUN.
Complete all nine holes without dropping the disc.
Every hole gets harder.
Expect:
doglegs
hills
valleys
bunkers
water
strong wind
huge elevation changes
dangerous shortcuts
increasingly stupid decisions
The safe route might keep you alive.
The stupid route might save two throws.
You are absolutely going to take the stupid route.
THROW IT. CHASE IT. CATCH IT.
Throwing isn't just pointing at a target and pressing a button.
Learn to control:
power
release angle
spin
hyzer
nose angle
wind
elevation
run-up momentum
Then, when the disc is flying toward you, you still have to actually catch it.
Sprint underneath it.
Match its speed.
Jump.
Dive.
Reach.
Panic.
Miss by three centimeters.
Start screaming.
VERY HARD ON PURPOSE
This is not a relaxing golf game.
The game is designed to make you:
fail
blame each other
argue about whose fault it was
say "one more run"
fail again
somehow get worse
eventually pull off something that feels impossible
The mechanics are simple to understand.
Actually mastering them is another problem entirely.
TEST YOUR FRIENDSHIP
In 2-player online co-op, every throw is an act of trust.
Your friend chooses where to stand.
You decide whether you can actually reach them.
They tell you:
"Send it."
You know you shouldn't.
You send it anyway.
If they miss?
That's between the two of you.
NO FRIENDS? PLAY WITH YOURSELF.
Solo mode lets you control both players yourself.
Position the catcher.
Switch to the thrower.
Throw.
Switch back while the disc is still flying.
Sprint underneath your own terrible throw.
Catch it.
Then repeat.
It is exactly as sensible as it sounds.
NO FRIENDS AND A PSYCHOPATH?
Sicko mode lets you play the game alone.
But with only one character.
Throw.
Run for the disc.
Catch with the same character.
Repeat.
Contemplate life choices.
RIDICULOUS UPGRADES
Complete holes and mutate your run with strange upgrades that completely change how you play.
You might end up with:
rocket-powered discs
giant discs
tiny discs
air brakes
ridiculous jump height
oversized arms
magnetic catches
absurd movement upgrades
weird aerodynamic mutations
A run that starts as normal disc golf can become deeply questionable by Hole 8.
PAR OR DIE
Want it worse?
Play Par or Die.
Every hole must be completed in par or fewer throws.
Use too many?
RUN OVER.
No mercy throw.
No recovery.
No excuses.
