About the Game

Butterfly Dream is a compact retro-style Souls-like game. While returning to classic boxed-level exploration and combat, it weaves in the Daoist parable of Zhuang Zhou’s butterfly dream and elements from the Buddhist Diamond Sūtra.

The realm of Fargodia, a time long from now.

The ancient ritual of Butterfly Summoning has awakened the once-dormant providence.

King Verlenbair, now fully transformed into a spectral figure, stands poised at the crossroads of fate.

Is the encounter between Velenbair and the butterfly a shackle of destiny? A cycle of sin? Or an exploration of the meaning of existence?

The trajectories of fate are converging; how will the story continue?

Unique weapons and equipment, a variety of fighting methods derived from "butterfly blade", choose the fighting style you are good at.

Combining the mechanism of traditional souls-like fighting, such as gun-parry, and changing coping strategies, it will bring you a hearty fighting experience.

Details for the recommended graphic settings(all at 1920*1080p):

For NVIDIA GTX1650/RTX2050 or equivalent: Low graphics is recommended.

For RTX3060/RTX3070(which we write as recommended) or equivalent: The Mid(Our default setting) graphics is recommended.

For 3080 or higher: High graphics is recommended.

Please notice:

1.Our Mid graphics is customized for the purpose that it will not lose much experience than the experience of high graphics, but ensure the FPS.

2. For higher GPUs, our own data shows that on 3090ti, it currently run average 50fps, at 2K Ultra graphics. Please take it as reference. We are still working hard to increase this to 60FPS in future.
