DEAD TIME

DEAD TIME

About the Game

DEAD TIME is a blind-timer game: a sinister TV game show where 2 to 8 guests sit at the table, put on shock collars and compete over who has the best internal clock. Nobody sees the timers — all the tension comes from estimating time, bluffing with a straight face and reading everyone else's despair.

Miss badly? The show charges you on the spot, and the charge tells everyone what happened. Blew the time on your own: the collar answers. Got doubted — or doubted and got it wrong: whoever is on the other side of that call draws the dart gun and collects in person, with the whole table watching. Out of lives, you slump onto the table and stay there, strapped in, watching the rest of the match happen.

4 game modes

  • PRECISION — everyone runs a hidden timer, one single chance to stop closest to the target. Farthest pays.
  • CALL IT — ONE shared timer nobody sees. Run it as long as you dare and pass… or shout CALL IT. Pure bluffing.
  • BULLSEYE — nail the exact time on your turn; accumulated tension drops the round's worst. The pace and how many fall scale with the size of the table.
  • IMPOSTOR — everyone sees the target except one. Blend in, deduce, vote — 4 players and up.

At the table

  • Local hotseat (2–8 on one machine, pass-the-mouse) and online rooms with an invite code or a Steam friends-list invite
  • SOLO against bots with three temperaments — cautious, aggressive and unpredictable — plus a single-player PRACTICE mode to calibrate your internal clock
  • No cheating: every timer is measured on the host's machine, and no player is ever sent what they shouldn't know
  • Voice chat, an emote wheel and a sarcastic narrator who roasts every loser
  • Persistent profile with stats, skull badges and 15 achievements
  • Accessibility for real: flash reduction ON by default, colorblind palettes, UI scaling and full keyboard and controller remapping
  • Interface in 12 languages and full controller support
