About the Game

Dead Exposure is an atmospheric horror game about documenting a foreclosed home after a family tragedy.

Armed only with a camera and some instant film, you uncover what is hidden from the human eye: 

• Shifting rooms

• hidden figures

• fragments of another reality bleeding through the film.

This house changes when you photograph it, and not everything inside stays where it belongs.

• Reveal hidden realities with your camera.

  Photograph rooms to uncover hidden objects, messages, and entities.  What you see through the viewfinder doesn’t always match reality.

• Ghosts and Figures Caught Only in Photos.

  Some entities appear only on film.  They watch, follow or wait around the next corner, hidden from the naked eye.

• Electricity and Fusebox System

  Manage the home’s failing power.  Too many lights and the grid may collapse.  What comes out of the dark may not be friendly.

• Environmental Storytelling

  Piece together the fate of the previous residents through scattered clues, shifting rooms, and hauntings.

• A Clever Mouse

  A child’s toy repurposed as an EMF detector.  Its beeps and flashing eyes warn you of nearby anomalies.
