ShootAndJump
About the Game
ShootAndJump is a turn-based strategy game with light roguelite elements.
Core Mechanics
Every shot counts. Weapons generate recoil when fired, combining movement and shooting into one action!!!
Players must shoot at pursuing enemies while the recoil from their weapons displaces their character. Every shot requires careful consideration. Players must ensure they are in a safe position while also avoiding wasting ammunition.
Classic Concept, New Creativity
Different pursuers are generated during gameplay: Pawns, Bishops, Rooks, and Knights. They generally move according to chess rules, but the different accessories they wear may grant them various effects and behavioral patterns, making each level a completely new experience.
The Mighty King
The King of each nation possesses formidable power. After defeating all the pursuers, you will face the King yourself—the final enemy, even if only temporarily...
Resource Management
Escape is not guaranteed after evading a wave of enemies. Take a moment to rest, and use the gold you've earned to purchase necessary supplies and ammunition to prepare for the next wave of pursuers. This is a war of attrition; you won't get a breather until the King is slain, even if that too might only be temporary...
Unique Firearm Design
Choose your two guns before the adventure. Each gun has a unique upgrade path. Different choices and combinations will create distinctive playstyles. Whether it's agile maneuvering, violent crowd-clearing, or a balanced approach—it's all up to you.
Numerous Enhancement Cards
A unique card resource introduces endless possibilities. A wide variety of card effects can aid the player during the adventure, but they must be purchased with saved gold or obtained through other means. The number of cards held in a single playthrough is limited, and card combinations will greatly influence your playstyle. There is no universal solution, only the optimal choice for the current situation.
A Word from the Developer
This is my first game. My original intention is to create fun games. The game I'm presenting now is, I believe, somewhat innovative—a somewhat hardcore strategy game. With roguelite elements, it also offers a degree of replayability. I sincerely hope everyone plays it and provides feedback. I will continue to update the game to reach a level satisfactory to all, and will also periodically release additional firearms, enemy types, and enhancement card packs—all as free updates!
