About the Game

Made by a solo developer, Crow of Soles is a collectathon platform puzzler featuring a rotation-based puzzle mechanic inspired by the hit indie game, 'Fez' but in a 3D world.

It has a very old school feel in its simplicity and philosophy of design by subtraction. But where Fez was about perspective, Crow of Soles is about alignment.

You play as Crow (a crow). A tragic character whose story is told through a mix of visual storytelling, short written notes and the lullabies he sings to himself as he explores an abandoned world that is suffering a collapse of dimensions.

The rotation mechanic is used to align parts of the local area to reveal hidden collectables, new ways to navigate the platforms and ladders as well as bridging pathways as you make your way from one area to the next.

Crow of Soles is a fusion of Fez-style alignment puzzles and a good old-fashioned platformer. Your enemies are the deadly traps built by the long gone civilisation that used to live here and the often tricky platforms that require a keen eye and a deft hand.
