Crimson Nova: The Star Gear Jobs

Crimson Nova: The Star Gear Jobs

About the Game

SOME JOBS ARE EASY. HIS NEVER ARE.

Crimson Nova is a bounty hunter, a space hero and the proud owner of a very fast ship. The crew of the Star Gear keep needing that ship. They never asked for the man who comes with it.

Crimson Nova: The Star Gear Jobs is a sci-fi comedy visual novel told from Crimson's own mission archive, one job at a time, with the crew cutting in whenever his version of events gets too heroic. Salvage runs, arena fights, restricted ruins and colonies that don't want saving. Every job starts simple, none of them stay that way, and somewhere along the route they stop feeling like separate jobs at all.

FEATURES

  • A full voice cast — Crimson, the crew and everyone they run into, all performed.
  • Characters with a pulse — the cast blink and lip-sync as they talk, and Crimson's visor glows with every word.
  • Choices in every job — and the crew remember how you treated them.
  • Big moments, full screen — anime illustrations for the scenes that matter, kept in a gallery to revisit.
  • Its own sound — an original score and an animated opening theme.
  • Read it your way — English, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Filipino, Tiếng Việt, ไทย, 日本語 and 简体中文. Voices are in English; the non-English text is AI-translated.

THE PEOPLE WHO HIRED HIM

Six specialists, one ship, and very little patience for a hero who narrates his own entrances. Along the way the jobs drag their own pasts into the light.
  • Voss, the captain
  • Astra, the pilot
  • Tessa, the engineer
  • Selyra, the medic
  • Kael, tactical
  • Rex, weapons

THE JOBS

  • Introduction — Crimson opens his personal mission archive and presents the jobs. The crew have corrections.
  • I · Ghost Vector — The very easy salvage job.
  • II · Echoes — Astra is openly an android with no memory of anything before Star Gear. Something out here remembers her.
  • III · Heavyweight — The travelling Grand Orbit Battle Circuit comes to town, and one of the crew has a history in the ring.
  • IV · Supernova — A critical object sits in a restricted ruin, and Star Gear are not the only ones who want it.
  • Intermission — A side job. The ship is in for repairs, the crew take a day at an orbital hot spring, and the gravity cannot be trusted.
  • V · Sixth Strike — A routine contract in a colony already under someone else's protection. Nobody likes being helped.
  • VI · Final Vector — The last job. Every route closes before Crimson can take it.
