About the Game

In the spring of 1899, a terrible tragedy befell the house of the Blackwell family. After a fateful encounter, the family's maids, Pauline Lantier and Mary Catterick, inadvertently kill their master's son. The events that followed are shrouded in mystery, but the sordid tale of the Blackwells and their maids can only end in one way: the total downfall of Sir Arthur Blackwell and his lineage.

Take control of Pauline or Mary as you use skill checks, dice rolls, and dialogue choices to decide the fate of the Blackwells across dozens of unique endings. Use your time wisely to improve your stats and gain new skills. You'll need them to overcome the ever-harder challenges that follow the very murder you committed. Will you hang onto your faith and conscience and try to cover up your crime? You'll need a razor-sharp wit and an even sharper tongue to get away with it. Or will you instead choose to embrace violence and take revenge on a world that has shown you nothing but cruelty and suffering? Become one with your inner predator and seize freedom through strength. The fate of the Blackwell family balances on the edge of your knife.

  • Get away with murder, one way or another: To get away with murder, you'll need a plan. A carefully crafted web of lies and trickery can throw suspicion onto someone else. Or, if that fails, you could simply leave nobody alive to witness your crime.
