About the Game

Cosmic Dominion is a 2D space-combat strategy game that bridges arcade dogfighting with real-time galactic conquest.

Take the stick yourself in fast, precision-driven ship-to-ship combat, or step back and direct a full-scale war across a galaxy of living planets. Every world you take has to be held — invested in, defended, and fought over against rival commanders who mine, trade, colonize, and go to war on their own terms.

Dogfight your way through the galaxy

Fly a fully upgradeable flagship loaded across weapon slots — rapid-fire cannons, beam lasers, homing missiles, and area-of-effect ordnance — each with its own swivel, autoload, damage, and cooldown upgrades. Different damage types matter: kinetic and energy rounds behave differently against shields and hulls, disruptor fire can knock out a target's weapons or shields outright, and support weapons can heal or even seed a biological plague on an enemy world.

Conquer and automate

Planets aren't scenery — they're economic engines. A captured world mines its own ore, builds its own defenses, prints its own garrison fighters, and pays you a cut of everything it earns. Break a defended world's shields to breach it, then land a boarding party to seize its cities intact instead of grinding them to rubble. Fit planetary modules to boost income, automate repairs, or harden a world against biological attack. Losing a colony isn't the end either — a dead world's resources become richer ruins, worth resettling later.

Outplay AI commanders, not just AI ships

Rival factions are run by AI commanders who play the same economy you do: they mine, trade, colonize dead worlds, build war chests, and only declare war when it's worth it. Beat a commander by destroying their flagship, or grind a commander-less faction down world by world.

Make the galaxy your own

Play as any of 8 factions, human or AI, and decide who fights whom — set teams and alliances, dial in how many worlds each side starts with, choose your difficulty and map size, and pick seamless wraparound or a bounded sector. Pin a seed to replay the exact same galaxy, or toggle the recurring Insectoid invasions — a hazard that comes for everyone, not just you. Chase a rotating slate of side objectives for bounties, unlock permanent achievements across every run you play, and track it all through in-depth ship and galaxy analytics.

Command from the cockpit. Win from orbit.

Core features

  • Modular weapon loadout — cannons, beam lasers, homing missiles, and blast weapons, each independently upgradeable (swivel, autoload, damage, cooldown tiers)

  • Damage classes that matter — kinetic, energy, explosive, biological, medical, and disruptor rounds each interact differently with shields, hulls, and subsystems

  • Siege and board enemy worlds — break a world's shields to breach it, then land a boarding party to capture its cities intact instead of grinding it to a ruin

  • Planet-driven economy — every world mines, trades, and pays its holder; invest to buy a market's allegiance or lose your own worlds to a rival's economy and firepower

  • Build your galaxy your way — play any of 8 factions, set teams and alliances, dial in starting worlds and map size, pick wraparound or bounded space, or pin a seed to replay the same galaxy

  • Ship & planet modules — auto-aim, auto-fire, cargo, boost, and defensive modules for your flagship; batteries, shelters, and trade upgrades for your worlds

  • AI commanders with their own agenda — rivals mine, trade, colonize, besiege, and choose when to go to war based on their own strength and economy

  • A galaxy-wide hazard — recurring Insectoid invasions threaten every faction alike, not just you

  • Objectives & achievements — rotating bounty objectives per run, plus a permanent achievement ledger that carries across every game you play

  • Save & load — full mid-mission save/restore, autosave, and multiple save slots
