Synopsis

The story begins with a desperate search for a missing partner in a city paralyzed by a sudden containment breach. As Detective Draven Vaughn, you must infiltrate the locked-down streets of Helga City after a mysterious bio-contaminant begins reanimating the dead. With the military sealing every exit, your first priority is reaching the police station, where Commissioner Frank Lawson is barricaded and holding on by a thread.

Survival in Helga City requires more than just a badge. You must scavenge for limited resources, manage your physical needs, and utilize a variety of weapons to stay alive. Customize your firearms with tactical attachments to gain the upper hand against an evolving threat. From abandoned high-rises to the depths of the underground sewers, every corner of the city holds a piece of the puzzle—and a new danger.

In Corpse Mansion, your choices carry weight. The decisions you make will ripple through the narrative, impacting the fate of the survivors you encounter. Will you reach the station in time to save Frank and find Avery, or will you succumb to the horrors of the apocalypse?

Gameplay Mechanics

  • Stay alive in a harsh world with a dynamic survival system, managing hunger, thirst, and rest to avoid deadly consequences.

  • Manage your gear with a slot-based inventory system, where item limits force you to prioritize what's essential.

  • Engage in complex conversations with NPCs, where your choices have permanent effects and influence future interactions.

  • Choose from three difficulty modes:

  • Casual: A more relaxed experience with reduced enemy spawns, generous loot, and flexible saving options that allow you to save at any time outside of conversations.

  • Survival: A balanced challenge with moderate enemy spawns, adjusted loot, and saving restricted to safe houses.

  • Hardcore: A brutal experience with intense enemy spawns, scarce loot, and saving restricted to safe houses.

Exploration and Environment

  • Explore a vast, fully interactable environment, using tools to overcome obstacles and uncover hidden items.

  • Discover lootable items in a massive city, spanning suburbs, slums, and downtown areas, each with its own secrets.

Combat and Crafting

  • Master the art of gunsmithing, repairing and attaching gun parts to upgrade weapon traits such as, but not limited to, headshot chance, speed, capacity, damage, durability, knockback, stun, and more, allowing you to tailor your firearms to fit your playstyle.

  • Learn the corresponding blueprint to craft ammunition or remove gun parts from your weapons, unlocking new possibilities for customization and resource management.

  • Craft ammunition with gunpowder at a gunsmith workbench, managing your resources to keep your firearms supplied.

Story and Progression

  • Shape the story with your decisions, influencing the flow of events and ultimately determining the ending.

  • Build lasting relationships with NPCs through thoughtful dialogue choices and actions, earning friendship points by doing missions for them and choosing dialogue options they prefer. As you raise an NPC's friendship level, unlock new missions, loot, and other benefits that reflect the growing bond between you and the characters.

  • Rescue citizens to gain access to new resources and track your progress on your portable data system.

Economy and Trade

  • Experience realistic shops, where owners have limited stock; items purchased from the player will remain in stock indefinitely, and new goods are added over time, reflecting the dynamic world around you.

Characters

Draven Vaughn (Detective)

A veteran detective whose survival in Helga City depends on instinct and adaptation. When Commissioner Frank Lawson calls with news of a containment breach and Avery’s disappearance, Draven is forced into a locked-down city to find her. He is cautious by nature, but his partner’s life is on the line, and the military is sealing the exits.

Avery Lawson (Detective)

Resourceful, determined, and missing. Avery was following a lead when the ProtoGen breach occurred, and she hasn't answered her phone since. As a skilled detective and the Commissioner’s daughter, she knows too much about the city's secrets—knowledge that has likely put a target on her back.

Frank Lawson (Police Commissioner)

As Police Commissioner, Frank Lawson is used to being in control. Now, he’s barricaded in his office while the dead reanimate in the hallways outside. Trapped and unable to reach his daughter, he has no choice but to rely on his most trusted detective, Draven, to reach the station and find Avery before the city is completely lost.
