Cold Contours: Intake
About the Game
This industrial megastructure was built to hold back the cold. Now the cold has swallowed it: the halls stand empty, almost all of its machinery has frozen under the ice, and only a few machines are still running.
Cold Contours: Intake is an atmospheric first-person physics puzzle game about making your way through this megastructure to its very heart.
Two Cubes
At first, the claws of your exosuit hold nothing but two heavy cubes. Throw them to knock things down and jolt stuck mechanisms into motion, then call them back at any moment.
Charge
Once charged, the cubes become electromagnets. They cling to metal and pull in anything that isn't bolted down, opening up new ways to shift objects and to get around the structure.
Plus and Minus
Each magnet's polarity can be switched on its own. Opposite poles attract and like poles repel, so two magnets can push platforms apart, pull objects together and work machinery from a distance.
Exosuit
This exosuit was made for the workers who once kept this place from stopping, and everything you need to know is right on it. Glance down, and the gauges on your chest show your health and temperature. The claws haul you up onto ledges, and the power frame lets you jump far and land without a scratch.
