About This Game

This is a small indie game made with care by just two people — no big team, no fancy 3D graphics. Niu Jie created all art by hand, drawing every character, board, and scene stroke by stroke. I handled the programming, turning ideas of freeplay, online interaction, and IV rest into code, piece by piece.

Niu Jie lives with cancer and is currently unable to undergo surgery. With limited income, she receives only basic medical treatment, fighting illness in the simplest and hardest way. Even so, she chooses to battle anxiety with her brush, face daily life with optimism, and pour warmth and strength into every drawing in the game.

Cloud Infusion is more than just a board game collection — it’s a moment to slow down and connect with friends. Its core is the unconventional free-play “Gentleman’s Game”: no fixed rules, no pressure to win or lose. You and your friends can mix up logic from Gobang, Go, Chinese Chess, Ludo, and more: generals can roam freely, elephants can cross the river, Gobang pieces can form any pattern. You make the rules every round — play however makes you happy. No right or wrong, just fun.

The “IV drip” is our special ritual for rest. In-game characters expend stamina; when stamina runs low, they can sit in a dedicated IV chair and quietly “receive an IV drip” to recover — just like in real life, when you’re tired, you deserve to pause and rest. You can relax while “on IV”, watch friends mess around and be silly, and enjoy a chill, stress-free multiplayer experience.

We have no complex story, no intense competition. We just want this to be a cozy corner for you and your friends to unwind and chat: no need to overthink, no need to care about winning or losing. Even just hanging out “on Cloud Infusion” and playing a few casual moves brings simple companionship and joy.

This is our first attempt at making an indie game together — no fancy packaging, but full of sincere heart. May Cloud Infusion help you let go of exhaustion and be gently healed.
