About the Game

Choom is a high-intensity side-scrolling shooter set in a brutal, neon-soaked cyberpunk nightmare. Combining fast-paced action with roguelike progression, each run challenges you to adapt, build powerful synergies, and push deeper into a city designed to break you.

Fight Through a Shifting City

Battle through a deadly mix of handcrafted and procedurally generated levels filled with hostile enemies, environmental hazards, and escalating bullet-hell encounters. Every run presents new threats, new opportunities, and new decisions that can define your survival.

Shape Your Build

Earn experience as you progress and choose from 1 of 3 random buffs between stages. Upgrade your weapons, stack synergies, and experiment with different playstyles as you create a build unique to each run.

Create New Challenges

Expand the experience with the built-in level editor and Steam Workshop support. Design your own brutal scenarios, share them with the community, and take on custom maps created by other players.

No Safety Nets

Each run begins with three lives. Lose them all, and it is back to the beginning. There are no checkpoints and no guarantees. Every defeat is a chance to learn, adapt, and come back stronger.
