Charcuterie Clash

Charcuterie Clash

About the Game

Charcuterie Clash is a fast, replayable deckbuilder about meat, math, and momentum. Build a ruthless recipe engine, ride the pH / aw / salt gauges to the edge, and slam seals that bend the rules. Cash out for absurd profit… or draw once more and watch the batch spoil.

How we got here: After twenty years in tech and four years elbow-deep in artisanal salami, I wanted a game where numbers feel delicious. Charcuterie Clash is that: a deckbuilder where you flirt with disaster, pop seals, and walk away richer—or hungrier.

The Core Loop

  • Play recipe cards to process the batch and nudge the gauges.

  • Chain combos to multiply value and set up a massive cash-out.

  • Time your seals—single-use, rule-breaking stamps that turn “pretty good” into “oh no the numbers are silly now.”

  • Bank the batch before it turns. Greed pays… until it doesn’t.

Gauges That Actually Matter

Every card touches pH, water activity (aw), or salt. Push them for profit; push too far and the run goes sideways.

  • Hover at danger for bigger multipliers.

  • Recover with “safety” cards or a clutch seal.

  • Learn to love numbers you never knew you’d care about.

Seals = Controlled Cheating

Once-per-run (or rare) effects that break normal rules:

  • Double a scoring window

  • Flip a gauge trend

  • Convert risk into instant cash
Using them well feels illegal. (It isn’t. Mostly.)

Deckbuilding, Butcher-Style

  • Start with a lean starter deck; draft recipes, tools, and tricks.

  • Cull duds at the shop, reroll for synergies, and lock a signature flavor.

  • Short, snacky runs with serious replay—discover lines that make you cackle.

Shop Shenanigans

Spend gold to reroll, buy seals, snag rares, and sell high when the market’s hot (and you’re not on fire).

Fail Forward, Laugh Forward

Misplays are funny on purpose. “I sold air for +900” is a valid strategy… sometimes.

Session Length & Feel

  • 10–20 minute runs

  • Thinky, not fiddly—crisp feedback, crunchy SFX

  • Endless “one more run” energy

Why You’ll Love It

  • Deckbuilder first: cards, synergies, lines to discover

  • Push-your-luck tension: bank now or chase the absurd

  • Distinct fantasy: charcuterie + score-attack, somehow perfect together

Accessibility & Options

Adjustable text size and high-contrast UI • Audio sliders (UI, music, tally SFX) • Color assists on gauge states • Mouse/keyboard now; controller support on the roadmap
