CapyHaven

About the Game

CHOOSE YOUR WORLD, TILE BY TILE

CapyHaven is a cozy colony builder where the map is yours to compose. Every new hex you unlock offers a choice: will this be a forest, a lake, a cave, farmland? Your picks decide what your colony harvests, where your capybaras fish and mine, and how your world looks when you zoom out at sunset.

And it is cozy by promise, not just by palette: nobody ever dies. A capi who takes too much simply faints, rests where it fell, and gets back up. There is no lose state and no run to restart. The worst night in CapyHaven costs you a morning, not a colony.

EVERY CAPYBARA HAS A LIFE

Your colonists aren't units. They have traits (lazy, brave, foodie…), jobs you assign (forager, chopper, farmer, miner, fisher, guard and more), huts they share with family, and needs to keep balanced. They court, pair up and have babies, who grow up and inherit what makes them theirs. Everything they live through lands in your Colony Chronicle.

GENTLE NIGHTS, YOUR RULES

When night falls, snakes and jaguars test your torches, guards and walls. This is where the no-death promise gets its teeth: a capi who loses a fight faints, rests right where it fell, and is back on its feet soon after. You can lose a night. You cannot lose the colony.

Prefer pure peace? Pacifist mode removes combat entirely, from day one. You keep all 17 biomes in the calm draw, the whole 31-tech tree up to Capital, every festival and 50 of the 55 building types. It sets aside exactly three things, and we would rather you knew: the five contested biomes, which are reached by fighting for them; the five buildings that can only stand on those biomes; and six of the sixty achievements, so a Pacifist file stops short of 100 %.

A YEAR THAT LIVES

  • Four seasons that change daylight, harvests and moods

  • Festivals with souvenir hats: be there or miss them

  • A Colony Journal that tracks your calendar, chronicle and achievements

BUILD IT YOUR WAY

  • Over 50 things to build: huts and farms, hot springs, kitchens, schools, watchtowers and festival fields, plus roads, decor and caravan economies

  • A 31-tech tree spined by a Colony Charter: age your village up to a capital (reachable even in full Pacifist mode)

  • Crafting, resource producers, and a passive coin economy for the late game

  • Photo mode for the moments you'll want to keep
