About the Game

Capivara Zen is an indie, narrative-driven game that blends humor, adrenaline, chaos, mystery, and a touch of urban adventure, featuring engaging cutscenes, a complete story mode, and a frenetic arcade mode.

You follow an ordinary capybara, trapped in an empty, purposeless routine, until a visit to an old place turns its life upside down.

On the way to a job interview, it walks through abandoned streets, dirt, closed shops… a city without color, without life, without anything. Along the way, it discovers that the old CapiGames, an arcade abandoned for years, has reopened in the city center.

Upon entering and trying to turn on one of the machines, the capybara is sucked into the game.

After a wild interdimensional journey, it awakens as Zen, a stylized, confident, and aggressive version of itself, trapped in an unstable urban arcade world filled with obstacles, dangers, and unpredictable situations.
The game advances at an arcade pace, with constant challenges, money collection, and continuous progression. To free the capybara from this world, the player must reach increasingly higher stages, facing an environment that becomes progressively more chaotic. The story is told through cutscenes that can be rewatched from the main menu after completing progress in Story Mode.

Capivara Zen is a frenetic experience that combines fast-paced action, storytelling, and an urban atmosphere, a game about persisting, moving forward, and trying to escape when everything feels out of control.

Gameplay

• Dodge NPCs, police officers, vehicles and obstacles in real time;

• Use jumps and maneuvers to avoid collisions;

• Collect coins scattered along the path;

• Colliding with police officers or vehicles results in prison.

Each run is a new attempt to go further than before.

Progression and Upgrades

Money collected during gameplay can be spent in the shop to unlock upgrades that help you survive longer:

• Upgrades that enhance the way you play;

• Different skins for a broader and more fun experience;

Progression is based on trial, learning and adaptation.

Game Goals

• Reach the highest level possible;

• Get to Stage 10 to complete the main story;

• After the introduction, access Arcade Mode directly without replaying the narrative;

• Rewatch previously unlocked story scenes, plus an extra scene unlocked after completing the game.
