About the Game

AOMI is a free-diving spearfishing game — no tank, just one held breath at a time. Drop into sunlit reefs, raise your speargun, take a single fish while your air lasts, and rise to the surface. Feel the beauty of the sea and the variety of life within it, paced by the rhythm of your own breathing.

A hunt on one breath
• Manage your oxygen as you dive. The deeper you go, the bigger the quarry — but the less air you have to make it back.
• Charge your speargun before you loose it. Read the range, the angle, and the moment before the fish bolts.
• Surface to catch your breath. The push and pull between depth and air is the heart of this sea.

A living reef — 38 species of sea life
• Big pelagics: yellowfin tuna, giant trevally, amberjack, mahi-mahi, barracuda, Spanish mackerel.
• Vivid reef fish: clownfish, blue tang, butterflyfish, Moorish idol, anthias and more.
• The seabed is a rocky reef throughout. Groupers, rockfish and greenling hold to the stone, and you hand-gather hawkfish, turban shells and sea urchins from the rocks.
• Fish notice you, flee and hide. Choose a difficulty and the wariness of the fish itself changes.

Dive deeper, grow stronger
• Sell your catch and spend the earnings on gear — lung capacity, fins, speargun bands, gloves. The stronger you get, the deeper and more quietly you can close in.
• Every creature you meet is logged in your field guide.

Stillness, to breathe
• Light rippling at the surface, swaying kelp, distant blue fading past the edge of sight. The quiet time between hunts — just being underwater — is part of the game too.
