Canary
About the Game
Canary is a narrative thriller with stealth, exploration, psychological horror, and tense puzzle-solving.
After a sudden helicopter crash, 13-year-old Chance Rivers is stranded in a frozen wilderness rich with Omnium, a highly valuable, hallucinogenic biomineral used and controlled by the all-powerful Praxis Labs in their death-defying cybernetic technology.
With an unconscious mother and missing sister, Chance’s only hope is to make it on foot to the Praxis Labs facility, who have the technology to help. But Omnium is a highly desirable substance, and Chance finds himself in the middle of a resource war. Deadly drones circle land and sky, seemingly at war with a mysterious, atmospheric being capable of harvesting omnium at will.
Moving through the coldest night of the year, the Omnium twists his senses. Chance sees eyes in trees and lights in the night sky, hears the voice of his dead father and the screams of his sister from a place deep within his consciousness. And always, the sense that he is being watched.
As he dodges threats from above and below, Chance uncovers a hidden project beneath the mountain, one which implies that Omnium might never have been the target of the deadly forces…but Chance himself.
