About ByteCrawler

ByteCrawler is a small tactical lane-defense game focused on timing, resource management, and watching your own swarm slowly fall apart. It's about putting the right units down at the right moment and trying to keep them alive a bit longer.

How It Works

Pick a hero, buy some unit chips, and get them ready to spawn. Every unit takes some time to spawn, so you have to think ahead. Spawn too soon or too late and you're probably in trouble. Managing energy and good positioning matter more than raw speed.

Units and Decay

Your units live as data on chips. Over time those chips start to break down. If you ignore them, they might get corrupted. Sometimes the units even turn against you. It's up to you whether you let that happen or not.

Pick your poison

After each round you have to stabilize the system by choosing one of four modifiers. Your prep time might get longer or your energy could drain faster. Whatever you pick is going to make things harder.
