Build heroes. Discover what they can become.

An armored knight. A fire mage. A walking tree with a talent for healing. Every recruit brings a new possibility to your army.

Build Bigger Heroes is a fantasy roguelite autobattler about discovering those possibilities and making them your own. Recruit companions, shape their abilities, and fuse and evolve your favorites into remarkable heroes. Then watch the company you've built take on the next challenge together.

Find the beginnings of your next great hero

Choose from generated recruits whose origins, classes, affinities, and traits shape how they look and how they fight. Keep a promising candidate while shuffling the other offers, equip your favorites, and use ingredients to develop their strengths. For more control, the optional Workbench lets you craft a hero from the ingredients you choose.

Fuse companions. Evolve your favorites.

Fuse two companions into one hero with inherited features, combined affinities, and traits from both. Discover forms such as the Ashwood, which burns nearby enemies, or the Grove Warden, which shields its allies when struck.

As your heroes earn victories and develop their powers, choose ascension paths that give them new forms and signature abilities. A hero's next transformation can change their place in your strategy.

Make the whole company count

Build an army of up to eight heroes, with every member joining the fight. Combine shared traits for team bonuses, balance sturdy defenders with damage dealers and support, and position your company before battle.

Combat unfolds automatically. Your choices of heroes, equipment, and formation set the stage for the clash.

Choose who comes next

Your army holds the field as summoners, traders, mysterious visitors, and enemies come to you. Choose the encounters that help your current build: another recruit, a fusion, fresh supplies, or a fight for rewards.

Each arrival spends part of the day's limited hours, and enemies grow stronger as time advances. Plan your preparations before the act's guardian arrives at nightfall. The clock advances through encounter choices, giving you time to consider your next move.

Give your heroes something worth saving

King Bramble has a royal rescue for you. A tiny dragon, a lantern turtle, or another lost magical Wonder needs a way home.

Lead your company through three acts, overcome their guardians, and bring your Wonder safely back to the castle. Each successful rescue adds its portrait and story to your collection.

Leave a legend. Begin another.

Earn Insight through discoveries and completed runs, then unlock new hero ingredients, starting Fates, relics, encounters, and lands. Preserve a favorite hero and their battle record in the Hall of Fates. Return with a new combination to try, a hidden ending to discover, or a tougher unlocked difficulty to face.

Animated pixel art and an optional retro handheld frame give your growing company a stage of its own.
