About the Game

You play as a feudal lord in 14th century Europe, entrusted with managing your land by the King. Starting with just a castle keep, you grow the economy and population of your fiefdom. At the same time, an invading army is roaming and plundering the entire kingdom. You must ensemble your army, build your defences and defend your land. As you satisfy the King's requests, your military power grows and eventually you liberate the entire kingdom.

One campaign takes place on one map with procedurally generated layout. You see only the land you control and enemy units.  Successful completion of a campaign can take many hours.

Your society consists of 3 social classes: Peasants, Artisans and Lower Nobles. Each class has distinct mechanics and contributes different military units.

Classic Arcade RTS Combat

Your rule is challenged by frequent and important combat encounters. Enjoy a polished RTS unit control system without compromises.

  • Take control of complex armies, down to individual units. Revive your RTS muscle memory with standard unit control features. An innovative feature - automatic subgroups - simplifies control of heterogenous armies. Another innovative feature - split selection - eases tactical manoeuvres with large armies.

  • When attacking, units exhibit the preferred "circling around allies" behaviour. Units diligently arrange themselves into formation. You can control the facing of the formation, and choose one of 3 formation kinds.

  • Unit types are based on classic medieval archetypes with original tweaks. 10 human unit types, each with unique trade-offs and specific production requirements. 3 siege unit types. Clearly denoted stats of each unit type.

  • Interactively pause the game at any moment to consider your tactical options and issue orders.

  • Rebind all the keys to your personal preference, with modifiers.

  • Conscripted units could be productive members of the settlement, and every lost unit is significant.

Engaging Settlement Building

Economic development of the castle and its surrounding areas is the perpetual goal of the game.

  • Grid-less city building with curved roads.

  • In-depth and believable production chains.

  • Over 70 different building types with unique mechanics, creating and consuming many different resource types.

  • Households can have private production. Produced goods are consumed in that household and sold on the market.

  • Explicit choice on goods transportation. No shared warehouses inventory.
