About the Game

BOX GAME: SHOWDOWN is a fast-paced 2D multiplayer racing platformer where you and three other players must outrun a deadly hazard wall while making moral decisions that determine the fate of both you and your friends!

Escape!

You and three other players have to race through 5 rounds, the player with the most points at the end of all 5 rounds emerges victorious!

Don't Leave Them Behind!

Scattered throughout the map are traps that immobilize you until either the approaching hazard catches up and kills you, or another player risks their life for yours and makes the decision to save you.

Your Performance Matters

If you choose to run past and abandon someone, the morality bar comes into play. This meter has three states: neutral, good, and guilty. You start at neutral, and your actions determine its direction. Helping someone out of a trap raises your morality, while running past them lowers it.

Help Or Hinder

When the wall catches you, you become a ghost, but you're not out of the game just yet! As a ghost, you can still interact with the game, as well as see what everyone's morality is. You can still influence the outcome by helping or hindering other players by either, giving a kind player in danger a speed boost and earn a few points for helping them, or you can seek revenge on a guilty player and eliminate them for a huge chunk of points!
