BomBee

About the Game

Bomb smarter. Move freely. Strike on a tight grid.

BomBee is a cute-but-cutthroat online arcade PvP game where bees brawl with honey bombs, sticky trails, and razor-sharp timing chains on one focused battlefield. Matches stay readable and fights stay honest: ranked free-for-all fills up to four contestants (as few as two when queues are light), capped at roughly three minutes from start to finish. Full four-player lobbies are the standard experience — and the one that rewards the most rating.

CORE FLOW

• Ranked matchmaking fills up to four-player free-for-all (~3 min). When the queue is light, two- or three-player ranked lobbies can start; a full four-player lobby is the standard experience and earns the most rating. Rating gains scale with lobby size — larger lobbies earn bigger rewards.

• Custom matches support two through four contestants in layouts you choose: everyone-for-themselves free-for-all or coordinated team showdowns. Create a public room (listed for anyone to join) or a private room (invite-only via a 6-character room code—private rooms never appear in the room list).

• Custom rooms also support solo practice: create a room, READY alone, and warm up on the map (~3 min, no rank points). When time runs out, you return to the same lobby to queue again or wait for friends (after ~3 minutes alone, the lobby returns to Main Lobby).

• Climb ranked rating to rise on BomBee leaderboards—the ladder reflects match outcomes, never paid stat boosts.

GAMEPLAY EDGE

• You move freely across the arena while blast resolution snaps to grid logic, so combos feel crisp: stagger explosions, choke lanes, punish missteps, and use terrain kills like classic bomber stars—just with bee-flavored chaos.

• Match tempo rewards timing intelligence, reflexes, and layered mind games—the honey-bomb delay window is meant for deliberately chained pressure, not slot-machine swings.

PICKUPS WITHOUT PAY-TO-WIN PRESSURE

• Destroy map props to uncover pickups—what spawns rolls randomly round to round for that arcade surprise factor, yet nothing you buy off the storefront replaces raw skill.

MONETIZATION & INTEGRITY

• Monetization sticks to cosmetics-only purchases; there’s no storefront lottery for lethal gear or stamina locks tied to wallets.

• Dedicated server authority keeps rulings authoritative and shuts the door on the lightest-touch client spoof tricks people try in flaky peer sessions.

VISUAL THEMES AND TONE

• Expect bright flowers, bubbly bees, sweet honey payloads, vine trails, and a playful Saturday-morning sparkle wrapped around hardcore duel energy.

PLAYER GUIDE

Controls

• Arrow keys — move

• Space — place a honey bomb

Combat & pickups

• Honey bombs detonate after about 4 seconds, spreading honey streams in a cross shape.

• Flowers broken by streams drop items. Tree objects are fixed and ignore streams.

• Players hit by streams are stunned ~3 seconds. An opponent who touches a stunned player eliminates them.

• Red potion — faster movement · Green — stream range +1 tile · Blue — max bombs +1

How you win

• Official round time is about 3 minutes (top-right timer).

• Win: If only one stripe color remains among living players, everyone on that color wins (ranked FFA and custom teams use the same rule). In custom, stripe color is the color you picked in the pre-game lobby; in ranked, it is your assigned color.

• Draw: No winner when time runs out, or if the match is voided (e.g. leave before official start). Ranked points are not applied on a draw.(Solo practice always ends as a draw when the timer expires; rank points never apply.)

RANKED (2–4 players, ~3 min)

• Main Lobby → Ranked matchmaking.

• Matchmaking fills up to 4 players (minimum 2 when the queue is light). Colors are assigned randomly (no pre-game color lobby).

• Rounds run about 3 minutes. Rating gains scale with lobby size: 4 players win +15 · 3 players +10 · 2 players +5 · loss -5 (all sizes). No pay-to-win stat boosts.

• Rank tiers (red → orange → yellow → green → blue → indigo → violet) show on your ID and near inventory.

CUSTOM MATCHES (solo practice or 2–4 players)

• Solo practice: Create Room (public or private) → pre-game lobby → pick a color → READY while you are the only player. The match starts without dedicated servers (host practice). No rank points; ~3 min timer ends in a draw. After the round, you return to the same lobby (destroyed boxes stay destroyed until someone starts a new round). If you stay alone in the lobby for ~3 minutes, you are returned to Main Lobby (5-second warning first). When a second player joins and readies, normal 2–4 player custom rules apply (dedicated server for 2+).

• Random spawn corners: in 2–4 player custom matches, starting corners are shuffled each round (no two players on the same corner).

• Create Room → Public: enter a title; the room shows in the center list (newest first). Others can join from the room list (Play) or with the 6-character code shown in the pre-game lobby.

• Create Room → Private: not listed; invite players with the 6-character room code from the pre-game lobby.

• Join with a 6-character room code (left panel), or browse the public room list and press Play. No room passwords.

• Pre-game lobby: pick 1 of 4 colors, then click READY on your slot.

• Same color = teammates · different colors = free-for-all (FFA).

• Match auto-starts when 2 or more players are ready (no host Start button).

• No rank points in custom.
