About the Game

You play a dynasty, not just an empire

Bloodlines & Banners is a historical 4X grand strategy game where your civilization spans thousands of years, and your family is the thread tying it together. Your ruler is a specific person with a name, a face, a family and a mortality date. When they die you don't pick a replacement from a menu. You raised that heir from childhood, arranged their marriage, and hoped they inherited more of their mother's diplomacy than their father's stubbornness.

History is the art direction

Every civilization has its own portraits, music and unit art. Rome sounds different from Carthage; Macedon's soldiers look nothing like Kush's archers. Nine voiced era narrators carry you across the ages, and the research tree is built from a real historical dataset.

• Single-player against AI rivals runs entirely on your own machine, no connection needed

• Hot-seat: pass the device and share one campaign on one computer
