Blood and Brass
About the Game
Blood and Brass is a 2D top-down single-player shooter set in an alternate world. With the entire frontline reduced to ruins, you must fight to survive across lands consumed by war.
After your regiment is overrun, you’re left trapped in a fallen position. Escape is unlikely. Cut off behind enemy lines, supplies are scarce and conditions are brutal. There’s no backup, and no way out.
The game offers a wide variety of weapons, including firearms, melee weapons, and even bows and crossbows. Different equipment choices lead to distinctly different combat experiences.
Multiple battlefield environments are featured, ranging from sprawling trench networks and forest villages occupied by a sorcerer, to a unique battleground formed from the wreckage of a crashed flying warship.
Enemy types are diverse and include, but are not limited to, ghouls, ordinary soldiers, War Machines, and powerful boss units with unique abilities.
Resource Management
Ammo doesn’t magically appear. You must manage your own supplies, and if you run dry, you’re in serious trouble.
Backpack space is limited. Sometimes, you can’t have everything, you’ll have to choose what matters most.
Weapon Durability
Every weapon has its own durability. Each shot fired, each block made, wears it down. Use your gear wisely.
When durability reaches zero, the weapon becomes unusable, though it can still be repaire.
Loadout Preparation
Before heading into battle, you can adjust your loadout at camp. Any weapon or item not equipped will take up backpack space.
If you want to switch weapons during a fight, you’ll need to carry them with you in advance.
Preparation can mean the difference between survival and death.
Exploration & looting
Every mission area is filled with opportunities, for those brave enough to look.
Fallen bodies may still carry ammo or medical supplies
Supply crates can yield large amounts of ammunition or some grenades
Elite enemies may drop rare weapons or valuable materials
And many other objects are scattered across the battlefield, keep your eyes open!
Accessory
Scattered across the battlefield are mysterious accessories. You can equip up to three at a time.
They grant passive bonuses, though they might come with dangerous side effects.
Power always comes at a price.
NPCs
Meet a cast of distinct NPC characters, each with their own motives. Your choices will affect their fates, and may even shape how the story ultimately ends.
Enemies
Every enemy type follows its own behavior patterns. Different factions don’t just fight you, they may also fight each other, creating chaotic and unpredictable battlefields.
Maps
The game features three radically different type of maps, each with its own enemies and bosses.
Choose your equipment carefully, what works in one battlefield may get you killed in another.
