About the Game

Play through the first story of The Hand Of God - and God's Loving Heart. Two divine beings. Also, a literal hand and heart. When heaven demands overtime, extra hours in the office - They begin to question what a life outside divine duty might just look like.

As they work endless cases, take strange prayer calls, and face emotional overloads on Heaven's prayer request line, something begins to grow between them. Soft.. terrifying. It may just be love, even though neither of them was designed to survive it.

Make choices. Play interactive games like "Bless or stress", and come along with the Be Not Afraid universe as we introduce ourselves to various characters in the biblically accurate Yuri novel.

Be Not Afraid: Threads Of Light mixes comedic moments, with serious moments and reflection. Heavenly workplace drama, soft yuri moments - we have it all. 

You will guide their conversations, make small choices that shape their days, and witness the truth they carry: even divine beings deserve rest, love, and a life that belongs to them.

How long does the VN last?

At a pace of 230 WPM, the game will take 5 - 6 hours to play through. It is a longer, linear visual novel, so buckle up. Dear heavens!

What Can You Do In The Visual Novel?

It's not just a visual novel. Play as the Hand and Heart, respectively, and help them with cases. Play interactive games like "Bless or Stress" or make intimate decisions that unlock more descriptive scenes.

Was AI used in Be Not Afraid: Threads Of Light?

AI did not write any piece of the 48,000 words in this game. It also did not make the UI, or visuals. AI did help with some code bits, but the game doesn't rely on AI for any of it's story or assets. These are all made by talented, commissioned artists who are featured on the about page.

Any content warnings or triggers?

The Visual Novel is a comedic, supernatural visual comedy. It is recommended for audiences 14 +. It features NO NSFW, gore, or any scary elements that may be distressing to viewers. It does, however, contain descriptors, not visuals, of religious trauma. Please be advised before playing. It features a happy ending, however!
