About the Game

Battle Lads is a roguelike action-strategy game about chaotic tribal warfare.
Fight alongside your troops while barking commands as the chief of your tribe. Each run, draft new champions, experiment with artifacts and upgrades, and conquer shifting maps that play differently every time.

Each tribe comes packed with their own abilities, units, and upgrades. Their distinct playstyles shape not just how they fight, but how they conquer on the strategic map. Take the Mad Tribe, who recklessly dive into battle sending hordes of expendable peons while ramshackle war wagons thunder across the map.

To capture outposts and conquer the map, you'll have to earn every inch. Hack and slash through enemies with devastating abilities while commanding your lads in real-time battles. Build your chief to be a one-man wrecking crew, diving headfirst into the chaos. Or become a master strategist, barking orders while your warband does the dirty work. 

What kind of leader will you be?

Recruit from mighty champions and squads of peons to fill up your war wagon. Each comes with their own moveset and random traits. A Frenzied Bonecrusher grows permanently stronger with every kill, pair it with a Medic to keep its rampage alive. As your troops fight and level up, they'll earn powerful brands that reshape their abilities. Combine units with game-changing artifacts and your own skill upgrades to forge an army that's entirely your own.

Bring glory to your tribe by seizing islands teeming with enemies, strange artifacts and game-changing events. Expand from your Village, uncovering new tiles to conquer and constructing outposts in their place. Construct gold mines, garages, barracks and trebuchets, then upgrade them to power your growing war machine. Each day, order your villagers to train recruits, collect taxes, or toss a few peons into the sacrificial pit (for... strategic reasons).

Every campaign plays out differently with new tribes, new maps and war-hungry island spirits eager to see you fight.
