BATARA: FATE UNBOUND is a dark fantasy Sekiro-like featuring 2D hand painted visuals, developed from the beauty of diverse Indonesian aesthetic traditions. Step forth as Moriyan, The Unfated, and battle your way through the shattered lands of Yrdra. Master parry-focused combat, clash with ambitious gods, find beauty in decay, and cleanse this world of corruption.

STORY

This world is sick. It has been 500 long years since the skies split, gods trembled, physics itself broke open, and something dark crept in through the cracks.

Moriyan has lived his whole life hiding in the dense jungles of Wyndra. There was peace, for a time, but all of a sudden the Tyrant King Caraka has caught his scent, and now he is forced to flee.

Fight your way free of Caraka’s clutches, and unravel the mystery of the poisonous Starlight that has plunged the world into chaos. Along the way you will meet friends, foes, opportunists, tricksters, companions, scholars, and more, each with their own goals and ambitions. Discover the truth of the king’s madness, Moriyan’s destiny, and make your mark on the world of Yrdra.

GAMEPLAY

Flow like water as Moriyan cleaves his way through a huge variety of enemies, and take on powerful bosses as you master Parry-Focused combat. Feel the rhythm of combat as you deflect astonishing flurries or reflect incoming projectiles with precise timing. You can even solve puzzles with your deflection —this is parrying to the utmost extent.

Unlock strategic combat abilities, defeat bosses you never thought you would be able to, and never let your warrior’s soul starve with over 150 unique enemies.
