Barely Correct

About the Game

Barely Correct is a non-traditional romance simulation game that blends intense mental arithmetic with immersive storytelling. In this game, numbers are more than just a test of brainpower—they are the ultimate weapon to seize control.

Engage in 1v1 calculation duels against a cast of distinct characters. As your score reaches the tipping point, you will strip away your opponent’s defenses layer by layer, eventually uncovering the truth beneath the surface.

It’s a regular day at university when your ex-boyfriend, whom you haven't heard from in two years, suddenly pops back up in your messages. You chat like old friends about mundane everyday things, occasionally hopping on video calls. He seems nostalgic about the time you spent together, his words dripping with lingering attachment. He keeps bringing up the diner you used to frequent, the movies you watched, and of course, the little game you used to play: speed math.

But the truth is, he isn’t the only one trying to catch your eye. If they want more of your attention, they'll have to put in much more effort. Those bland, nostalgic memories just don't do anything for you anymore. Unless, that is, the stakes are worth the effort...

- The Rules of the Game -

  • Complete as many arithmetic problems as you can before the timer runs out.

  • When you hit a certain score threshold, you have the right to strip away a piece of their disguise.

  • Conversely, if they catch up or pull ahead, they can demand you take back a layer.

Willing or not, the moment they crave your attention, their fate falls into your hands. Your only job? Sit back, enjoy the show as they offer you everything they have, and write the ending yourself.
