About the Game
Welcome to the Backrooms.
Endless corridors, mapless levels, sound-sensitive entities… and the organization that sent you there: M.E.G. – Major Exploration Group.
People who go missing in the Backrooms are never heard from again. M.E.G. has started sending teams into this mysterious structure to investigate its “undocumented levels” and gather data. You didn’t volunteer. But you’re already inside.
SURVIVE: ALONE OR WITH A TEAM

Whether you’re playing alone or in a team of 2–4 players, the conditions are the same: void, silence, and a threat moving in the shadows. Mandatory objectives can be completed individually, but working together is often your only chance. If your teammate makes a mistake… everyone could die.
OBJECTIVE: COMPLETE THE MISSION, GATHER DATA, ESCAPE
M.E.G. expects one thing: information. On each level, you must follow the organization’s assigned missions, gather visual and physical data, and escape without attracting the attention of the creatures.
Two main mission types await you:
TRIALS: Large, story-driven missions.
M.E.G. TASKS: Faster data collection missions in modified levels.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE INSIDE.

It’s not just you and your team in these levels. Unidentified entities roam the dark regions of the Backrooms. Every sound you make, every movement, can alert them.
The creatures can hear and see you. They follow you.
Some set traps with intelligence, others attack directly.
Sometimes you’re being watched from the shadows… but you never know when they’ll strike.
Staying alive requires more than silence; you must act with thought, stay in communication with your team, and stay focused on your mission even when your grip on reality starts to slip.
SURVIVAL: ITEMS

There are various survival items and tactical tools to deal with dangers. But obtaining them isn’t easy — they’re often found in dangerous zones. How you use them determines whether you survive.
PROCEDURAL WORLD GENERATION
Backrooms M.E.G offers a different experience each time thanks to its procedural world generation system.
Maps, mission locations, loot spots, creature patrols, and exit routes are regenerated with every playthrough. That means:
You can’t memorize the map.
You can’t use the same route twice.
Each game requires a new strategy.
You’ll face patterns you’ve never seen before, new dangers, and events that will catch you off guard.
This system keeps not just the fear, but the tension and exploration feeling alive.
In the Backrooms, survival takes more than reflexes — it takes adaptability.
Every new game is a step into the unknown.
