Awakeroots is a hand-drawn survival game created with passion by two brothers — a programmer and an artist — set in a world inspired by Slavic folklore. You play as settlers, pioneers on wild and mythical lands, where every day is a fight for survival. Build walls, workshops, and traps to protect your settlement from dangers. Cultivate the land, harvest crops, and satisfy the hunger of your people before night falls. Both day and night, the world becomes hostile and dangerous, filled with mysteries and mythical creatures.
🌲 Explore wild lands, discovering resources, minerals, and plants used to create potions, meals, weapons, traps, armor, and building materials. The deeper you venture into the wilderness, the greater the chance of encountering travelers and traders offering exotic items.
🌾 Plant and harvest a wide variety of crops — berries, vegetables, grains, and cultivated plants — to ensure the survival of your settlers, trade with merchants, and prepare nourishing meals.
🧱 Start with nothing and build your settlement from the ground up. Create workshops and storage buildings, reinforce walls and fences, set traps, and protect your crops from animals and monsters.
👹 Face creatures from Slavic legends — Leshy, Rusalkas, Noonwraiths, Vodniks, and other dark beings lurking in dense forests, as well as wild animals roaming the wilderness.
