ASPIS

ASPIS

About the Game

USSR, late 1980s.

In an attempt to look beyond the edge of time, Soviet scientists accidentally tore the fabric of reality.

ASPIS is a mystical thriller about a system that tried to predict the future… and became a trap for those who looked inside.

At the center of the story is Andrey, a cybernetics scientist longing to bring back his lost family.

Hoping to see his loved ones again, even in virtual reality, he volunteers to test the ASPIS system.

But instead, he is drawn into a dangerous experiment, gradually uncovering the secrets of the system — and his own tragedy.

You will explore the Institute of Cybernetics and descend into surreal dimensions.

Face the manifestations of distorted consciousness — and the one who decided to rewrite reality itself.

Key features

  • The world of the living, the world of souls, and the world of dreams — three sides of one catastrophe.

  • Soviet retrofuturism — the Institute of Cybernetics, the OGAS network (the Soviet analogue of the Internet), old computers, tape recorders, terminals, and a cold scientific approach to the inexplicable.

  • A story that intertwines the fates of volunteers, the secrets of the institute, and the philosophy of chaos — showing that trying to hold on to the past destroys reality itself.

  • Gameplay combines exploration, shooting, and puzzle-solving — uncover documents, analyze archives, and use OGAS to reveal the truth about the institute.

  • A philosophy of ambiguous choice — between life and the illusion created by the system itself.
