Alpha Spectrum is a story-driven, isometric cyberpunk RPG, blending narrative depth, player-driven choices, and fast-paced ARPG combat with the flexibility of a classic immersive sim.

EXPERIENCE A FEARLESS NARRATIVE
A 12-18 hour (depending on playstyle) engaging storyline with player decisions, side content, deep lore, and multiple endings, featuring an unusually bold narrative. The game explores cybersecurity threats in our connected world in the near future, criticizing society’s over-reliance on tech, while incorporating psionic powers.
THE WORLD SPEAKS, YOU RESPOND
Fully voice-acted dialogue system with 19 talented actors (no AI was used). Dialogues are the core of the story and feature meaningful response choices. Incoming transmissions drive pacing and dynamically shape the narrative.
FREEDOM OF APPROACH, NO HAND-HOLDING
Missions offer direction, but never hand-holding, demanding the player’s attention; no glowing markers, just well-designed environments and logical objectives. Most objectives can be completed in any order and many offer multiple approaches, like combat, stealth, hacking, or exploration; shaping each player’s personal experience.
ARPG-STYLE COMBAT BLENDS INTO A NARRATIVE-DRIVEN IMMERSIVE SIM
Skill-based, fast-paced combat, demanding thoughtful positioning and timed use of crowd control abilities, driven by point-and-click navigation with a fixed camera angle. A talent tree unlocks new skills, modifiers, and alternative variants; a flexible system prioritizes fun and player creativity over strict balance. Three difficulties cater to different types of players.
SYSTEMS INTERACTING WITH EACH OTHER
Each combat encounter serves a narrative purpose; no endless mob waves, and the looting and progression systems are streamlined within a limited scope. The game isn’t punishing; death doesn’t reset progress and encourages experimentation with different approaches. However, enemies respawn when reloading a zone.
WORLDBUILDING ON A GLOBAL SCALE
14 distinct, geographically diverse, explorable open zones with a fast travel system, featuring major cities like New York, Moscow, Shanghai, and Baghdad.
STEALTH WITH ACTIVE SKILLS AND TACTICS
Optional stealth gameplay with a cover system and active abilities, such as halting enemy patrols with a stun gun, hacking mechanical enemies, deploying turrets to create a diversion, or using the silent knife to backstab the guards.
THE WORLD IS FULL OF STORIES
Immersive ambient music that enhances the game's atmosphere, drawing inspiration from iconic soundscapes of acclaimed cyberpunk classics. In-game books, newspapers, emails, and audiologs for extended lore, alongside a TV newsreader reporting on major events in the main storyline.
THE DEVELOPER'S JOURNEY
Designed and written entirely by one person, Alpha Spectrum was developed primarily solo over several years while working a full-time job elsewhere, with early support from contributors in areas like backend systems, voice acting, music, and graphics.
With no external investment or funding, Alpha Spectrum aims to prove that an engaging experience can be created without relying on significant financial resources, by sticking to a vision and thinking outside the box.
